Where does the Time Go?

So many things have taken place since our last update on this blog. Sorry for the delay and we promise to keep it updated more regulary.  It is hard to believe that we have journeyed almost 10 months here in Thailand. Sure, times are tough and they have not always turned out the way that we wanted, but we continue to keep our eyes focused on the Father.

Currently, we are learning Central Thai at a language school near by our house.  This school has really enabled us to excel in our communication ability.  Although, Thai is a hard language made up of five tones it is manageable with the help of Christ.  At times, we struggle in why we are sitting in class day after day, and why drudge through such a hard language. But, then when we are able to share with even one person, it makes it all worth it!

Recently, we were able to connect with an old friend of Misty’s.  We spent some time at his families in a province near the beach.  Going to Thai people’s homes are one of the best ways to practice lanuage and also to learn about the culture. At times, it can be very overwhelming when one is faced with so many new things.  Over the time there, we enjoyed being able to meet new people, see waterfalls, and enjoy fresh seafood.  During our time there it was also mother’s day, (the Queen’s birthday), so we were able to celebrate with our friends.
